About Us
Detachment 810 provides outstanding classroom instruction, Air and Space Force cultural immersions, and a dynamic and challenging first-hand learning experience during weekly practical military training. Though the Detachment team is small, we support about 100 cadets spanning three campuses. Over the past few years, the team has successfully coordinated base visits across three states, and multiple mission partner visits including SpaceX, L3 Harris, Lockheed Martin, and Bell Helicopter. In addition, Detachment 810 cadets have been successful in competing and being selected for unique national-level training events. Below are a few examples of what our cadets have been able to participate in.
You Can Fly – up to $5K per student towards private flight training
Project Global Officer – language and cultural immersion in countries such as Jordan, Oman, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Japan, and Taiwan
USAFA Exchange Semester – one semester exchange program to the Air Force Academy
Air Force Global Strike Internship – 2 week internship to Global Strike with trips to Whiteman AFB and Dyess AFB
