Capt Sheppard is the Recruiting Officer and Instructor for Detachment 810’s Air Force ROTC at Baylor University. He is responsible for a 31K square mile recruiting area, vetting of high school scholarship hopefuls, and key partner relationship management including all nearby Civil Air Patrol, AFJROTC, Army JROTC, and MCJROTC units. As an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, he also teaches 1/3 of AS100 classroom instruction and is a part of all LLAB / other PMT events.
Previously, Capt Sheppard was the T-7 Lead Test Program Manager for Program Integration, T-7 Division, Mobility & Training Aircraft Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson AFB (WPAFB), Ohio. He was responsible for the planning, documentation, and execution of the testing for the T-7 training aircraft. The Program Integration Branch was responsible for Production, Program Control, Sustainment, Systems Engineering, and Test & Evaluation for the entire T-7 training system.
Capt Sheppard received his commission in 2017. He served as a Program Manager within Air Force Life Cycle Management Center in three different offices. First as the Lead Program Manager for the Automated Project Order System within the Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate, then as the Lead Program Manager for the Physiological Monitoring Systems within the Agile Combat Support Directorate, followed by being the Risk IPT Lead and the Lead Test Program
Manager for the T-7 Division within the Mobility & Training Aircraft Directorate.
